Holiday Craziness
Last week was a pretty busy week for me. First off we got a snowstorm up here on Thanksgiving Eve (which just happens to be the biggest bar night of the year), but I didn't let that stop me. Some how I managed to make it out to Heather's (which happens to be in the middle of nowhere) without getting lost, because the road signs were covered in snow and I felt like I was driving in a tunnel of snow, but that's Michigan winters for ya and you gotta love 'em! Jeremy was the designated driver for Heather and I so when I got to her house, we decided to drink some Jagermeister, which turned out to be a bad idea for the both of us. I got wild and crazy and Heather got sick. But all in all it was a pretty good time.
Then on Thanksgiving my family started a new tradition. This was the first time ever in my whole life we were not having Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house. We had Thanksgiving with my parents friends......who I've known all my life and consider them my second set of parents and their kids. Their daughter Michelle and I grew up together and still hang out every once and awhile. Anyway being that I was still hungover from the night before the thought of drinking anything alcoholic didn't appeal to me. Until Andrew decided he was going to make margaritas for Michelle and I. 5 and a half of those later.........I was soooo ready to go home and sleep. Which I did........and I wasn't in the best of moods at work on Friday (yes I had to work...no shopping for Shelley).
Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.

Elliott Sadler has achieved much success throughout 2004 as he enjoyed the best season of his NASCAR NEXTEL Cup career. By finishing in the top 10, Sadler earned himself a place on the stage at the Waldorf-Astoria for the Awards Banquet on December 3rd. Heading into the last race of the season, Sadler has scored two wins and earned eight top fives and 14 top-10s - also career highs. Elliott is currently ninth in the championship point standings. "That was not the way we wanted to end this year,"said Sadler. "This team has a lot of heart and soul and we wanted to go into next year with some momentum. We'll regroup over the next two months and come back stronger than ever in Daytona."

Monday Night Football
So last night I decided I was actually going to sit down and watch a Patriots game. I haven't really sat down and watched a whole game. I haven't really had time and during NASCAR season I'm more inclined to watch the NASCAR race than the football game. Anyway, last night New England played Kansas City and I decided I was going to watch it. Game time rolls around and I'm getting all pumped. I set my timer on my TV to turn it off in 4 hours so just in case I fell asleep it would turn off. Well I made it through the 1st quarter, after that I was out. I woke up this morning having no idea who won. That ticked me off! But this morning I found out that New England had won 27-19. Putting them at 9-1. GO PATRIOTS!!!

I am annoyed!......So I am going to vent today.
Kurt Busch won the Nextel Cup Championship by only 8 points over Jimmie Johnson. I cannot stand Kurt Busch. I don't know what it is about him that bothers me, but he just really irritates me. When his wheel fell of I thought for sure that he was done for the day, but no he bounced back to finish 5th. The whole NBC broadcast irritated me. I had a headache halfway through the race because every two minutes they would show the points "As They Race" which kept changing and it was really really annoying. I was like ENOUGH ALREADY. It was a very good race but all they did was follow the 5 cars in the race for the championship. Did anyone even know that Rusty Wallace lead?? Sadler crashed too........great way to end the season huh? It was a bad day in NASCAR for me yesterday!

KAHNE WINS IN FIRST TRUCK SERIES START
Kasey Kahne ended an historic night at Darlington Raceway with a milestone of his own -- winning the Darlington 200 Saturday in his first NASCAR truck series start. "It feels pretty awesome to win this race, especially at Darlington," said Kahne, whose lone NASCAR win was in the Busch series last year at Homestead-Miami Speedway. "This is about the coolest track to go to."

Every week I read the Power Rankings on NASCAR.COM this week there are some great ones.
For a little background info, during Sunday's race there was contact between the #9 car of Kasey Kahne and the #29 car of Kevin Harvick. Kevin confronted Kasey after the race.

Thanks to Kevin Harvick for adding some excitement to an already-great race at PIR.
He might have had the quote of the day at Phoenix: "Kasey's not big enough to get out of his car and fight this battle."
What was funny is that you can almost hear the teen-age girls begging Harvick, "If you've got to hit him, Kevin, hit him in the ribs and not his face."
This stuff cracks me up! To read more check out this LINK.
NASCAR Hottie of the Week Carl Edwards
Carl Edwards is the driver of the #99 Roush Racing Ford. He is also racing the Craftsman Truck Series. He moved over to Nextel Cup taking over for Jeff Burton after he left Roush Racing. Carl is known for doing backflips off the back of his truck when winning in the Craftsman Truck Series. This isn't the greatest picture of him, but I was watching the 40 Greatest Road Songs on CMT last night and Carl happened to be on it and looking pretty good. So if you get a chance check it out!

Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine...............
I had a goal this weekend to get drunk. Unfortunately I accomplished my goal and didn't feel to good Sunday. I also busted my license in half. I have no clue to how I did this. Now I have a Georgia license taped together.......I'm thinking I need to go get my Michigan license now. I think a taped license could cause some problems. Another problem is the fact I was really drunk and when I get really drunk I like to talk. Talk about how I'm feeling and all that good stuff. I'm not really sure if I did that....but if I did no one mentioned it to me.
Congratulations to Dale Earnhardt Jr. on his win this weekend in Phoenix. I have to say when he wins he gets all excited and its really cool to see that kind of enthusiasim.......its refreshing. Elliott on the other hand crashed again this weekend. Another disappointing weekend for the M&M crew.

I'm jealous of these phones. 2 of my friends got new Nextel's this week. I so want a NASCAR Nextel phone, but here's the problem. They don't have an Elliott Sadler phone. I could get the checkered flag phone, but then if they happen to come out with an Elliott Sadler phone (which I hear could happen in 2005) I would just have to get it. So I I guess I just have to be patient and wait....but these phones are sooooo cool!

NASCAR Hottie of the Week - Jimmie Johnson #48
I haven't posted a NASCAR Hottie lately, but when I discovered this picture of Jimmie Johnson....I just had to post it. Jimmie Johnson drives the #48 Lowe's Monte Carlo for Hendrick Motorsports. He has won the last 3 races on the NASCAR circuit placing him 2nd in points 59 behind leader Kurt Busch. Hopefully Jimmie can overtake Kurt in the races to come, because I do not want Kurt Busch crowned Nextel Cup Champion!

Tim McGraw Owner of Arena Football Team
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tim McGraw plays a former high-school football player in the movie, "Friday Night Lights," and now he's become a part owner of the Arena Football League's Nashville Kats.
Bud Adams, owner of the NFL's Tennessee Titans, announced Monday that McGraw had joined him and Mark Bloom as co-owners of the franchise that Adams revived after the team moved to Atlanta.
"I'm part of the community here — loving football, being part of the community and wanting to support anything that helps this community out," the country singer said at a news conference.
McGraw, whose latest album is "Live Like You Were Dying," will be doing his part to boost attendance by performing for Kats' season ticket holders and sponsors next year.
Jon Bon Jovi is part owner of the Philadelphia Soul AFL team, and McGraw joked he'd do anything to help promote his own new team, even if it means getting on the field with Bon Jovi.
"If he gets out there, I'll get out there because I know I can cream him," McGraw said.
I think i need to become a season ticket holder! I love me some Tim McGraw!
